Job Objectives: Underwrite and grow a portfolio of environmental liability insurance products through strategic business relationships with wholesale and retail brokers. Using your business acumen, ability to analyze data, and critical thinking skills to develop pricing and negotiate terms and conditions to build a profitable book of business. Job Duties and Responsibilities: Underwrite environmental insurance products including site pollution liability, contractors pollution liability, and contractors pollution/professional policies working with both retail and wholesale brokers. Negotiation of policy terms and conditions while adhering to Allied World Environmental Underwriting Guidelines and Procedures. Execute a broker distribution strategy to generate new business opportunities and service existing accounts. Prepare quotes, binders, referrals, and underwriting file documentation in compliance with company guidelines. Develop and manage positive and effective working relationships with a commitment to service for all associates (brokers, insureds, and internal personnel) leading to high customer satisfaction. Coordinate and conduct regular marketing calls, account stewardship meetings, and events to promote Allied World product offerings. Participate in local professional organizations, and remain current and engaged with existing and prospect insureds and brokers on key developments in the marketplace. Continue professional development through relevant training courses, continuing education, and/or seminars.
