Regional Financial Controlling Manager (Denver, CO)

We are seeking a seasoned financial professional to lead our Regional Financial Controlling team in Denver, CO. This role is vital in ensuring the accuracy, integrity, and compliance of a company's North American financial operations. You will oversee the month-end close process, manage internal controls, and collaborate with internal and external stakeholders to deliver timely and accurate financial reporting.

Responsibilities:

  • Financial Reporting & Control:

  • Lead and manage the regional month-end close process, ensuring adherence to deadlines and accounting standards.

  • Oversee the preparation and review of balance sheet reconciliations, collaborating with regional and Global Business Services (GBS) teams.

  • Ensure the accurate and consistent recording of all financial transactions, adhering to company accounting policies and internal controls.

  • Manage internal audit processes, including the bi-annual Balance Sheet Review and Letter of Assurance.

  • Lead the development and delivery of accurate and timely regional/local financial statements, including sub-consolidations and supporting documentation.

  • Build and maintain strong relationships with external auditors, facilitating a smooth and efficient audit process.

  • Stay current on technical accounting matters, leading the implementation of new accounting standards and performing asset impairment testing.

  • Provide financial analysis and support the preparation of regional forecasts and budgets.

  • Team Leadership & Administration:

  • Provide leadership and coaching to the regional financial controlling team, leveraging both in-region and GBS resources.

  • Serve as a regional expert on technical accounting matters.

  • Ensure regional adherence to company standards, segregation of duties policies, and financial delegation of authority limits.

  • Oversee compliance with all tax, treasury, statutory, and financial policies.

  • Lead and coordinate the completion and submission of various financial data surveys.

  • Oversee the timely and accurate completion of regional filings and shareholder reports.

  • Prepare legal entity statutory accounts and materials for Investor Relations.

  • Collaborate with the Tax Group to ensure accurate tax reporting.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's Degree in Accounting (CPA, CMA, or CA preferred)

  • Minimum 10 years of experience in financial accounting or a related field

  • Proven experience in a large, global organization

  • At least 3 years of experience leading and managing a financial team

  • Strong understanding of US GAAP and/or IFRS accounting standards

  • Demonstrated expertise in financial reporting, internal controls, and closing processes
