EXOS Assistant General Manager/Senior Program Manager in Dallas, Texas

Job Summary:

Responsibilities:

We're seeking a Assistant General Manager/Senior Program Manager to lead our fitness center. As our new Assistant General Manager/Senior Program Manager, you will be responsible for overseeing Membership, Camp, Recreation and the following :

Financial Management:

  • Providing weekly, monthly and quarterly reports to General Manager , as requested.

  • Developing and managing fee for service programs (personal training, massage therapy, specialty classes, etc.) and ensuring program revenue goals are on target.

  • Monitoring expense budget and provide approval to service coordinators on purchases or program offerings.

  • Planning, forecasting and monitoring revenue and expenses for all operating services.

  • Approving payroll timesheets for all team members and submit to Human Resources.

Staff Management:

  • Hiring, training and supervising direct reports; provide annual performance evaluations in a timely manner.

  • Advocating continuing education through EXOS-sponsored training and external certifications, workshops and conferences. And ensuring compliance with policies, procedures and equal employment opportunity during the hiring process of managers and fitness center staff.

  • Approving all new hires, promotions, reviews, job changes, and terminations and submit to Human Resources.

  • Facilitating weekly management meetings; participate in staff meetings on a regular basis to show support and promote morale among all staff.

Health Promotion:

  • Developing and aligning Fitness Centers Annual Strategic Calendar with clients overall health improvement strategy.

  • Developing, promoting, and delivering integration opportunities with on site departments, networking groups, facilities vendors, and health improvement partners.

  • Developing, delivering, and supporting physical activity and programs and initiatives to all client employees.

  • Assisting Global Benefits Department with the communication and promotion of new programs and initiatives to client employees.

  • Performing other duties as assigned

    An Ideal Candidate would have:

  • Bachelor degree in a health/fitness field of study (Master’s degree preferred)

  • A CPR/AED/First Aid certification

  • 3 years of management experience in a commercial fitness center environment

  • 3 years of Group Exercise experience required

  • Nationally accredited Personal Training certification

  • Group Exercise certification (i.e. AFAA)

  • Advanced computer literacy (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, email)

  • Highly developed written and verbal communication skills

  • Exceptional customer services skills
