Aston Carter Controller (Urgent Hire) in Detroit, Michigan

Hybrid schedule

Description:

  • This position will be jumping right into Assistant Controller/Controller level responsibilities.

  • This company just migrated their SAP system to the S4 Hana , and they need someone that has Assistant controller , or controller level experience who also is experience in SAP to jump in and support while their current Assistant controller is away for a period of time.

  • This person will be responsible for using SAP for the major accounting tasks.

  • This person will work through Balance sheet reconciliations regularly , they will also oversee the AP process.

  • There are two employees on the AP team they will manage.

  • They will also have the support of a Sr. Accountant available to them a few weeks into the position.

  • There are also payroll responsibilities from a high level reconciliation stand point that they will handle.

  • Bank Reconciliations will also be under their responsibility as well.

  • Overview of P&L and updates to monthly forecasting will also be a major part of this position.

This company is a manufacturing company but this role is more focused on the high level corporate accounting, with the plant manufacturing accounting reporting up to this group.

SAP experience is more important than their industry background . Anyone that has come from a $250 million + company and is experienced at the assistant controller/controller level

Additional Skills & Qualifications:

Bachelors degree in Accounting, finance or related. SAP Experience is a must. Accounting leadership is also a must have.
