The Technical Trainer (m/w/d) for Beckman Coulter Diagnostics is responsible for the development, coordination, and delivering industry leading training to end users and support personnel.

This position is part of the Technical Training team based in Munich and will be on-site with occasional remote working. At Beckman Coulter, our vision is to relentlessly reimagine healthcare, one diagnosis at a time.

You will be a part of the Technical Training Team in the Munich Center of Excellence and report to the Manager Service and Applications Training, responsible for delivering training for current and future Beckman Diagnostics systems, applying skills-based classroom training and virtual training. The ideal candidate will serve as a technical subject matter authority on various products, have extensive experience delivering training content or developing curriculum and knowledgeable of adult education and blended product training solutions, while employing a wide range of tools to meet the needs of all learner types. In this role, you will:

  • Lead the development, execution and evaluation of technical training programs and support materials, using multiple learning platforms (i.e. classroom-based learning, e-learning, virtual, on-demand self-paced, and experiential learning opportunities)

  • Apply different adult learning styles and modalities to classroom instruction

  • Mentor and support less experienced team members regarding instructional design, development standards, and writing skills

  • Remain current on training and development trends and standard methodologies, to continuously improve own skills as well as to offer recommendations to improve the Training Team effectiveness overall

  • Build collaborative and consultative relationships with subject matter experts and peers to identify problems, provide solutions, and breakdown sophisticated concepts and processes into component parts to build and deliver effective training

  • Collaborate with all partners to apply the Danaher Business System (DBS) for ongoing process improvement and maintain and repair the training instrumentation according to defined processes and quality standards

  • Ensure compliance with all safety, quality and regulatory requirements such as: ISO, GMP and FDA. Deliver training to internal employees and channel partners for set up, operation, calibration, quality control, maintenance, and troubleshooting

    The essential requirements of the job include:

  • Master’s degree or higher education in Engineering, Biotechnology or related fields with consistent record or equivalent experience and previous experience in providing technical customer support on medical device or clinical laboratory experience will be an advantage

  • Ability to quickly grasp highly technical concepts and to effectively distill technical information to clearly communicate these technical concepts in both live presentation and written formats

  • Proven ability to identify and address technical challenges effectively and strong organizational and time management skills

  • Very good language skills in English, verbal and written

  • Willingness to travel domestically and internationally as the need arises, up to 10% of the time
