Robert Half Financial Analyst in New York, New York

Description We are offering an opportunity for a Financial Analyst in the heart of New York City, New York. The successful candidate will join our team, where they will be responsible for managing vendor setups, overseeing timesheet completion, and providing ad hoc financial analyses. This role also involves compiling and analyzing financial information, preparing monthly cash flow forecasts, and assisting in the preparation of monthly closing reports.

Responsibilities:

• Manage and process vendor invoices and ensure their proper setup

• Oversee the timesheet completion and allocation process to ensure efficiency

• Compile and analyze financial information to prepare entries to accounts

• Document business transactions accurately and in a timely manner

• Perform monthly reconciliations and expense analyses to ensure financial accuracy

• Prepare monthly cash flow forecasts to support financial planning

• Assist in the preparation of monthly closing reports to ensure timely financial reporting

• Analyze and review budgets and expenditure trends to provide insightful financial advice

• Provide assistance with ad hoc financial analyses as required

• Utilize Microsoft Excel skills to create macros and improve financial processes

• Leverage strong organizational process improvement skills to enhance financial operations

• Utilize CapEx, Accounting Functions, Budget Processes, Expense Reporting, and Finance skills to perform duties effectively Requirements • Must possess a strong understanding of CapEx (Capital Expenditure)

• Proficiency in various accounting functions

• Experience in budget processes, including preparation, analysis, and forecasting

• Capability to handle expense reporting, ensuring accuracy and adherence to company policies

• Broad knowledge in finance, including financial analysis and financial modeling

• Must be proficient in Microsoft Excel, including using complex functions and creating pivot tables

• Excellent analytical, critical thinking, and problem-solving abilities

• Strong written and verbal communication skills

• Detail-oriented with a high level of accuracy in preparing and entering financial information

• Ability to work independently and as part of a team

• Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, or related field

• Relevant work experience as a Financial Analyst or similar role.
