Description We are in search of a diligent Staff Accountant to join our team in Redondo Beach, California. This role is pivotal in maintaining our financial records, including purchases, sales, receipts, and payments. The successful candidate will be tasked with working closely with our accounting team to create and analyze financial reports, ensure legal requirements compliance, process accounts payable and receivable, and manage invoices and tax payments. This role offers a short-term contract employment opportunity.

Responsibilities:

• Conduct regular ledger maintenance and Balance Sheet Reconciliation.

• Prepare and post monthly journal entries.

• Prepare financial statements and reports detailing accounts receivable status.

• Assist in the preparation of monthly/yearly closings.

• Aid in the preparation of the budget or forecast.

• Participate in preparation for the annual audit.

• Develop periodic reports for management.

• Conduct Month End Close procedures efficiently and accurately.

• Suggest ways to reduce costs, enhance revenues, and improve profits.

• Ensure compliance with GAAP principles.

• Document business transactions. Requirements • Proficiency in Balance Sheet Reconciliation

• Experience with Financial Statement Preparation

• Knowledge of Journal Entries

• Ability to manage Month End Close

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field

• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills

• Excellent verbal and written communication skills

• Proficient in MS Office Suite, specifically Excel

• Knowledge of accounting software and databases

• Understanding of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP)

• Attention to detail and accuracy

• Ability to work independently and as part of a team

• Strong organizational skills and ability to prioritize workload

• Ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines

• High level of integrity and trustworthiness.
